Services

I plan, write and design websites, newsletters and print for non-profits, associations, small businesses, artists and musicians. You get the work, the reasoning behind it, and the resources to keep it going yourselves.

Every price below is a flat fee, not an hourly rate, so you know the cost going in. All prices are in Canadian dollars. Registered charities and incorporated non-profits get 15% off every price on this page; mention it when you get in touch and it comes off the quote. GST is added where applicable.

If you’re not sure what you need yet, start here.

Most organizations own more than they realize: software they’re already paying for, templates somebody built years ago, a website that mostly works. I’ll help you get the most out of what’s there, explain each decision at a level that makes sense to whoever needs it, and set it up so it keeps working with or without me. If what you’re asking for won’t solve the problem, I’ll tell you before you spend the money.

Entry offer One page Within a week

Most organizations own more than they realize: software they’re already paying for, templates somebody built years ago, a website that mostly works. Nobody has time to step back and look at all of it at once.

  • Two hours Inside your actual workflows, with the people who run them.
  • One page Written for the people who will act on it: what’s not working, what to stop doing entirely, and what to automate and what to keep human.
  • A half-hour walkthrough Of the page, within a week. Full details →

For seven years I ran the tools a whole staff worked in. I administered Google Workspace, Bitwarden and ClickUp, managed about $25,000 a year in software subscriptions, and built the forms and workflows people used every day. Most of what an organization needs is findable in two hours by someone who has done the job from the inside.

The Non-profit Software Audit

$500 Flat fee. Already priced for non-profits, so the 15% discount doesn’t apply.
Non-profits Software One page

Non-profits qualify for free or discounted versions of most of the software they pay for, from Google Workspace and Microsoft to Canva and Slack. Applying takes paperwork nobody has time for, so a lot of organizations pay full price.

  • The list Every subscription you pay for, and which ones you could get free or cheaper through TechSoup, Google for Nonprofits, Microsoft, Canva, or the company itself.
  • The order to do it in What to cancel, what to switch, and what to apply for, with the eligibility steps written out.
  • One page, within a week No workflow review; for that, see the Audit above.

I registered SAITSA for Google Workspace for Nonprofits, managed its TechSoup account, and applied for the non-profit discount on Tally and every other piece of software that offered one.

I also watched two departments in the same organization buy paid Canva subscriptions within a year of each other, after a free Canva for Nonprofits account already covered everyone. Nobody sets out to pay twice. Nobody is paid to go looking, either.

$4,200 Per month: two days a week, three-month minimum, then month to month
$2,200 Per month: one day a week, same terms
Retainer Strategy Design Web

Communications at your organization is a piece of several people’s jobs, and nobody has time to plan it. The newsletter goes out when someone gets to it. The website is out of date.

One or two days a week, I do the work of a communications department inside your workflows: the plan, the writing, the design, the website, and the systems behind them. You get one person who knows the whole picture, and your board always knows what’s going out and why.

  • Everything on this page As needed and as the days allow. Bigger builds are quoted separately, at these prices.
  • Website care Updates, backups, monitoring, and small changes are covered.
  • The handoff, every month Templates and a playbook that grow as we go, so if I leave, the system stays.

An organization with more communications than one staff member can carry and not enough for a full-time role. If you’ve had a coordinator position open for six months, this is the alternative.

Seven years as the communications and technology generalist inside a large student association. The bulletin, the sponsor intake system, the Tedi Hotline, and a WordPress ecosystem that drew about 150,000 users in 2024 were all built and run from that seat.

Websites

$2,800 Coded: up to six pages, nothing to run
$4,700 WordPress: full editor, hosting and training set up
Coded WordPress Care from $200/mo
  • Coded If your site is a handful of pages that change a few times a year. Built with Claude Code, the code read and edited by hand: no build step, no framework, no plugins. Hosting is free and there’s no monthly platform fee; the domain is about $15 a year. You change it by editing plain files, with a walkthrough. The site, the files, and the domain are yours.
  • WordPress If you need a full editor: several people posting, events, a members area, or a store. It costs more to run (hosting, a theme, plugins that need updating), which is what Website Care is for. The hosting account and domain are in your name.
  • Website Care, $200 a month See Website care above. Included in the part-time lead.
  • Priced for the site alone Bring your own brand, or add one from Brand & Identity.

AI Enablement
for non-technical teams

$950 Per session: a half-day, up to 8 people
$2,600 Three sessions plus the playbook
Training Playbook
  • Workflow review Where the tools help in your actual work, and where they don’t.
  • Hands-on training With your real work in front of us.
  • Playbook In plain language, so your team keeps going on their own.

Custom automation builds. This is advice and enablement, not a black box I’d have to maintain. For one person at a time, see training.

Small jobs

Anything smaller than a package, like a single template, a one-off design piece, or a bit of writing, starts at $350. Tell me what you need and I’ll send a quote.

How I work

Everything I make comes with the templates, the guides, and the training, and the reasoning behind it, so your team can keep it running with or without me. It’s your system, not mine.

You own everything I make for you: the files, the templates, the prompts, and the accounts, all in your organization’s name. Nothing is rented back to you.

I use AI tools in a lot of this work, and Claude Code to build websites like this one. If you’d rather have no AI in the workflow at all, say so. Doing it all by hand takes longer, so that work is quoted at 25% more.

“If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box thinker who brings creativity, passion, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver, Jordan is your guy.”

I had the opportunity to hire Jordan when our organization was looking to take our brand positioning to the next level and find new ways to capture students’ attention around the programs, services, concerts, and events available to them.

Jordan brought a tremendous amount of creativity, energy, and passion to the work. What stood out most was his ability to take our team’s vision and bring it to life in ways that were engaging, thoughtful, and outside the box.

Jordan is someone who doesn’t just think creatively — he pays attention to the details and follows through to deliver the work. He has a great ability to listen, understand the bigger picture, and turn ideas into something tangible that connects with an audience.

If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box thinker who brings creativity, passion, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver, Jordan is your guy. I would be happy to recommend him to any organization looking to elevate their brand and bring their vision to life.

Jordan and I worked together at SAIT Students’ Association for several years, and our professional paths ended up overlapping in a pretty unique way. We originally worked together behind the bar at The Gateway, and over time we both moved into assistant manager roles in different departments. One of the projects I especially enjoyed working with Jordan on was SAIT Students’ Association’s Tax Program, where we collaborated to improve the forms, streamline the student intake process, strengthen communication, and make the overall experience easier for students to navigate. Those improvements helped us successfully support more than 1,700 students in filing their taxes free of charge through the CVITP program, an extraordinary result that set a new benchmark for a post-secondary tax clinic in Alberta. To my knowledge, that level of participation has not since been surpassed by another post-secondary institution in Calgary, or even by SAIT Students’ Association itself. It remains one of the accomplishments from that program that I am most proud of, and Jordan played an important role in helping us get there.

Jordan has always been someone who looks at a process and immediately starts thinking about how it could work better. He brings a great mix of creativity, practical problem solving, communication, and genuine care for the people on the other side of the work. I always appreciated that he was willing to challenge inefficient processes, bring forward new ideas, and actually put in the work to turn those ideas into something useful. He was also a strong collaborator who understood that sometimes the biggest challenge was not creating the information, but figuring out how to get students to actually read it.

It is pretty funny looking back at where everything started. We went from working busy nights at The Gateway and learning how to handle fast-paced, people-focused environments to eventually stepping into assistant manager roles and collaborating on projects that had a meaningful impact on the student experience. There is something pretty special about seeing that kind of professional growth happen side by side. We both started in very hands-on roles, learned a lot along the way, and eventually found ourselves contributing at a much higher level while still being able to laugh about where it all began.

While Jordan and I did not always see eye to eye on everything, I’m genuinely grateful for the years we worked together and would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who brings creativity, initiative, strong collaboration, and a real desire to improve the way things are done. He is reliable, thoughtful, adaptable, and someone I would confidently trust to take ownership of meaningful work and follow through.
